Plungerhead
2007 Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel
Notes
This garnet colored Zinfandel is aromatically spicy with rich cherry vanilla notes and strong tannins. The palate is rich with intense flavors of boysenberry and blueberry fruit. The finish is refined with elegant French oak flavors and rich vanilla which wraps the old vine resin and frames the palate.
Pairings
This Zinfandel is a sophisticated, yet reckless monster of a wine. It is a great choice as a late night sipper, but always fantastic when paired with rib eye steaks and truffled mashed potatoes or grilled pork loin with a cranberry or balsamic glaze. Or try with vegetarian dishes like eggplant moussaka or wild mushroom risotto.
